I thought this essay was right on. This essay provided a very different perspective to the meanings and themes inside Sapphire's poem, "Wild Thing". This essay gave a perspective of the boys life circumstances, and the failure of the "system". I thought the points were strongly defended using the text from the poem.

My understanding of Howells' dislike of romanticism is a good explanation of his one-hit-wonder, The Rise of Silas Lapham. The character of Penelope inspired me the most as she balances romantic and pessimistic views with her realism. There remains nothing missing in the essay.
