Character portrait of Lispeth
It is a character description of Lispeth, the protagonist in the novel Lispeth by Rudyard Kipling.
My teacher did like the text, and he gave me a B, I should have gone more in to details was his comment.
Extract:
Lispeth is not an easy character to interpret, as she is not quoted much in this text, nor de we learn a lot about her interests. She is born a hill-woman, but when her parents die she is adopted by the Chaplain who baptized her as a child. Already here we see a conflict in personalities, as the hill people are known as uncivilized savages while the English were known around the world as pure counterparts of this.
